TEMPE, Ariz. -- In the latest ITA tennis rankings both teams remain slotted inside the top-20 with the men at No. 13 and the women at No. 18 in the nation.
On the women's side, the Ichabods move down one spot from a No. 17 ranking last week after going 1-0 on the week moving to 11-3 overall and 2-1 in MIAA play. Around the conference Northwest Missouri is ranked No. 34 in the nation with Central Oklahoma at No. 41 and Missouri Western entering at No. 47.
In singles Renske Ubachs moves up to No. 23 in the nation while Riko Konno is ranked No. 55 nationally. On the doubles side Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro are ranked No. 10 in the nation.
The Washburn men drop three spots after going 1-0 last week, moving to 12-5 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Around the MIAA/GAC Nebraska Kearney is ranked No. 28, Ouachita Baptist is slotted at No. 36 and Harding is ranked No. 41. Northwest Missouri is No. 47 and Southern Arkansas sneaks in at No. 50.
In singles Tommy Cecchetti moves back one spot to No. 33 while Pavlos Parson is ranked No. 38. Kilian Martinez moves to No. 46 in the nation while Yuto Miyagawa is ranked No. 66 to wrap up the quartet. In doubles play Zino Nahirniak and Benjamin Fock are ranked No. 10 while Tommy Cecchetti and Pavlos Parson are ranked No. 50.
The Washburn women are in action this afternoon taking on Fort Hays State at 2 p.m. while the Ichabod men are on the court next in Emporia taking on the Hornets at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 10.
