KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Pushed by four MIAA regular season championships, the Washburn athletic program finished a tied a program-best second place in the MIAA Commissioner's Cup, presented by Impact Signs, final standings for the second season in a row.
The Ichabods had 10.70 points placing second behind Pittsburg State who recorded 11.67 points. Northwest Missouri was third with 10.31 points and Central Missouri was fourth with 9.75 points.
Washburn had MIAA first-place finishes in men's basketball, volleyball, men's tennis and women's women's tennis this season. Washburn's athletic program has improved each year since the 2021-22 season after finishing sixth, moving to fifth the following year, fourth in 2023-24 and second the last two years.
