TEMPE, Ariz. -- TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its academic awards for Division II on Tuesday morning as the Washburn men's and women's tennis programs each earned ITA All-Academic team honors. Between both teams 13 players also earned ITA Scholar-Athlete status.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, the student-athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 in the 2025-26 academic year. Those earning the honor on the women's side were: Daniela Tijaro, Renske Ubachs, Riko Konno, Maddie Shelley, Charlotte Bair, Saajida Razick and Mariana Silva Balsa. On the men's squad Benjamin Fock, Petr Leipner, Moritz Pieper, Yuto Miyagawa, Mason Fair and Graham Faris were recognized.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above for the year. On the court, both Ichabod squads qualified for the NCAA Tournament and finished the season ranked inside the top-20 of the final ITA national poll.
