LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Washburn volleyball moved to No. 13 in the latest AVCA national poll released by the organization on Monday afternoon.
The Ichabods are 10-2 on the season heading into conference play later this week. They received 623 total points in the poll, moving down nine spots from a No. 4 ranking last week.
Ferris State stays at the top spot in the rankings with 44 first-place votes followed by Wayne State at No. 2, which received a pair of first-place nods, and Tampa in the third spot.
Around the MIAA, Nebraska Kearney is ranked No. 7 in the nation with Missouri Western just behind at No. 8. Emporia State moves up to No. 18, Central Oklahoma sits at No. 22 and Central Missouri re-enters the rankings at No. 25.
Washburn starts conference play facing Fort Hays State inside of Lee Arena on Friday, Sept. 18 with first serve at 6 p.m.
