ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Washburn men's golf team is in fifth place after day one of the Missouri Western Holiday Inn Express Classic on Monday.
The Ichabods shot rounds of 282 (+2) and 285 (+5) for a score of 7-over par as a team in the first two rounds on Monday.
Central Missouri is in first place with a total score of 7-under.
Jacob Fratzel shot rounds of 71 and 69 for a score of even par and is tied for 10
th overall.
Myles Tarvin and
Blake Buessing (Ind.) are tied for 27
th at 3-over.
A pair of freshmen
Henry Thompson and
Max Farber are tied for 43
rd at 5-over. Farber had a team best score of 68 in round two.
Maddix Shook is at 7-over after rounds of 71 and 76. Shook is tied for 58
th.
Washburn starts its final round of the invite at 8:30 on Tuesday morning.
