Washburn University Athletics

As a Junior in 2007
• He played in 43 games with 39 starts as a catcher and designated hitter.
• He earned second team Daktronics all-region and second team all-MIAA honors as a designated hitter. He was the first Washburn player to earn Daktronics all-region honors.
• He was third on the team with a .349 batting average with 51 hits, five home runs and 41 RBI. His RBI and home run totals were second best on the team.
• As a catcher he batted .390 with 23 hits in 59 at-bats.
• On 03/31/07 at Pittsburg State he went 4 for 6 with four RBI, setting or tying career highs in hits, at-bats and RBI. He had RBI on two doubles and a single.
• He also tied his hit and RBI totals with four each on 03/14/07 against Bemidji State. He was 4 for 5 with RBI off a triple, double and single.
• He hit a grand slam on 03/12/07 against Minnesota Crookston and another 04/06/07 against Northwest Missouri. His homer against NWMSU ended up being the game-winner.
• He finished second on the team with 10 multi-RBI games.

As a Sophomore in 2006
• Played in 42 games with 40 starts. Started as catcher 25 times and played the remaining games as the designated hitter.
• Named to the all-MIAA first team as a designated hitter.
• Led the team with 10 home runs, the fifth highest total in the MIAA and eighth highest total in Washburn single-season history.
• Finished third on the team with a .348 batting average. He had 49 hits and 35 RBI.
• Had 21 extra-base hits with 10 homers, eight doubles and three triples.
• Threw out seven base runners as a catcher in 29 attempts and picked off one runner.
• Had a .987 fielding percentage with two errors in 158 attempts.
• Had a season-high four RBI on 04/03/06 against Missouri Western State when he had a home run and a double.
• Batted .414 in the 25 games he played as a catcher.

Barton County Community College (2004-05)
• A transfer from Barton County Community College where he played catcher for two years.

Kapuan Mount Carmel High School
• Graduated in 2003 from Kapuan Mount Carmel High School where he lettered in baseball, basketball and football.
• Earned all-city honors his senior year.
