Biography

As a Junior in 2010
Was a first team all-MIAA and first team AVCA all-Region pick finishing second in the MIAA with a .366 hitting percentage and third on the team with 278 kills ... had 11 matches with double figure kills and six matches with five or more blocks ... tied her career-high with seven blocks in the first round regional win over NWMSU ... also named a CoSIDA Academic All-American, Academic All-District, MIAA Excellence Award winner, MIAA Scholar Athlete and MIAA Academic Honor Roll member with a 4.0 GPA in nursing.

As a Sophomore in 2009
Was a first team all-MIAA selection, a first team all-Region and honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association after leading the team with 380 kills and a 2.99 kills per set average ... led the MIAA, set a school single-season record and was fifth in NCAA-II with a .405 attack percentage ... had 21 double-digit kill matches ... had six matches with a .475 or better attack percentage, including a .750 hitting percentage (15-0-20) against Texas A&M-Kingsville on 9/5/09 ... named MIAA Hitter of the Week for week of October 6-11 ... tied her career-high with 18 kills on three separate occasions ... an MIAA Scholar Athlete and an MIAA Academic Excellence Award winner with a 4.0 grade point average, also an MIAA Academic Honor Roll member.

As a Freshman in 2008
Played in 107 sets, while starting all 36 matches as a freshman middle and outside hitter ... earned third team all-MIAA honors ... finished third on the team with 289 kills, 2.70 kills per set and a .341 attack percentage, which is the second highest single-season total in school history, trailing only Mandi Cox (.373 in 2005) ... had 10 double-digit kill matches, including a season-high 18 against Midwestern State and a 15 kill, .560 attack percentage match at Missouri Southern ... finished second on the team with 66 blocks and 334.5 points ... named an MIAA Scholar Athlete and earned Academic Excellence Award with a 4.0 grade point average.

Lincoln Pius X High School
A 2008 graduate of Pius X High School … lettered in volleyball as a middle hitter for three years with the Thunderbolts … her final year she was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association High School Senior All-American … she helped her team to two state championships her final two years … her senior season she earned second team super-state honors as well as first team all-state and all-city as she set a school record with 452 kills (4.43 per set) and her team finished 35-4 … her junior year she also earned first team all-state and all-city and third team super-state honors … she finished her career with 980 kills, a school-record 160 blocks, 98 aces and 324 digs … her club team, NVA 17 Red, was the 2007 national champion and she was named to the all-tournament team … fellow incoming freshman Courtney Wallman played with her on that team … she also lettered in basketball as a forward for four years and on the track team for three years … earned academic honors with a spot on the Gold Honor Roll at Pius X.
