At Uvalde High School, she earned second team all-district honors in 2005 and received the athletic leadership award in 2006 … at Barton as a sophomore, she started 60 of 62 games recording 44 hits batting .268 with 32 runs scored, 28 runs batted in and five home runs … she had nine assists from the outfield … as a freshman, she played in 23 games with 30 starts.
