• As a 2005 graduate at Peabody Magnet High School he was first team all-state as he averaged 23 points and 11 rebounds his senior year.
• His junior year he was honorable mention all-state and he helped his team to a Louisiana state title, a No. 5 ranking in the nation by USA Today and a 41-0 overall record.
• Peabody Magnet won the state title all four years he was there and he was an all-district selection his final three years.
