At Washburn: Enters the fall as the starting left tackle on the offensive line where he has started the last 22 consecutive games … has appeared in 24 games in his career … named to Consensus Draft Service’s Second team preseason All-American squad.
In 2009: Made 11 starts at left tackle en route to honorable mention all-MIAA honors anchoring an offensive line which gave up only 11 sacks all season.
In 2008: Started 11 games at left tackle earning second team all-MIAA honors … named the Ichabods’ offensive lineman of the week three times during the season.
In 2007: Played in two games during the season.
In 2006: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
Background: A SuperPrep all-Midlands performer … Rivals.com ranked him as the No. 24 overall prospect in the state of Colorado … a two-way starter on offense (right tackle) and defense (tackle), he earned first-team all-state (4A) honors by both the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News as a senior while garnering first-team all-JeffCo League honors as junior and senior (he was second-team all-state as a junior) … he had 41 pancake blocks as a senior and had 25 as a junior … had 36 tackles as a senior and 32 as a junior, when he also had an interception … he played basketball through his sophomore year and also lettered in wrestling and track finishing third in the state in the discus and 10th in the state in the shot put as a junior.
