Biography

At Washburn: Will compete for time at running back and on special teams.

In 2009: Practiced but did not appear in any games.

Background: At Friends University he rushed for 327 yards on 55 carries and two touchdowns in 2008 … as a senior at Stanton County High School he rushed for 1,746 yards and 30 touchdowns earning first team all-state honors also recording 388 receiving yards … as a junior he was first team all-league, all-area and second team all-state.

Personal: Born March 25, 1988 … son of Gloria and Leon Santoya … majoring in Spanish education.
