Background: A transfer from Missouri Southern where he has already graduated with his marketing degree … missed the 2009 season with an injury … in 2008 as a junior, he was the Lions' fifth-leading receiver with 12 catches for 125 yards averaging 10.4 yards per reception … had a season-high three grabs for 62 yards against Pittsburg State … as a a sophomore he made 11 starts at tight end catching six passes for 44 yards … as a freshman he had 10 catches for 115 yards and one touchdown reception … in high school at Raytown South he was a two-time all-district pick at tight end and defensive end … earned first team all-area honors at defensive end and a third team all-state pick at tight end … his senior season he caught 17 passes for 441 yars and one touchdowns … on defense he had 56 tackles including 12 for loss.
