At Washburn: Returns to his starting free safety position after missing the final eight games in 2010 with an ankle injury … he has started the last 25 straight of 33 career games will also see time on the punt return teams … he is fourth on the all-time punt return chart for career yards with 594 … his career punt return average of 9.4 is seventh all-time at Washburn and his 191 interception return yards rank fifth all-time at Washburn.
In 2010: Started the first three games of the season before injuring an ankle on a punt return against Missouri Western in the third game of the season receiving a medical redshirt … had recorded 13 tackles including six against Abilene Christian.
In 2009: Earned second team all-MIAA honors after finishing second on the team and sixth in the conference with 91 total tackles with 58 solo stops while starting all 11 games … recorded a school-record 22 tackles with 14 solo stops at Missouri Western on Sept. 19 … named the inaugural Ichabods’ Ben Muir Six-Second Competitor … averaged 9.5 yards per punt return on 23 attempts … named the Ichabods’ defensive player of the week and received the “big hit” award three times during the season.
In 2008: Started all 11 games recording 93 total tackles with 55 solo stops and 38 assisted tackles earning second team all-MIAA honors as a defensive back … also had four interceptions for 109 return yards … had 2.5 tackles for loss and eight passes defended with four pass break ups … had a career-long 58-yard interception return for a touchdown against Missouri Southern … finished the season with 393 all purpose yards averaging 25.0 yards per return on kickoffs and 8.4 yards per punt return … led the team with nine special team tackles.
In 2007: Played in eight games on both offense and defense during the season … had four carries for 16 yards against Emporia State … on defense, he recorded 17 total tackles with 11 solo stops and two fumble recoveries … had a career-high six total tackles against Fort Hays State … on special teams, he averaged 10.8 yards per return on 19 attempts for 205 yards … the average ranks 10th all-time in Washburn single-season history … had a 22-yard punt return against Emporia State … was named the Ichabods’ special teams player of the week four times during the season.
