At Washburn: Returns to a starting outside linebacker position where he started 11 games as junior … has appeared in 36 career games recording 152 tackles with 10 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
In 2010: Started the final 11 games of the season tying for the team lead with 91 total tackles with 48 solo stops en route to second team all-MIAA honors 52 tackles came on rushing plays … recorded a career-high 17 tackles with 14 solo stops against Northwest Missouri while tallying two sacks for 17 yards and a forced fumble and three pass break ups … the 17 tackles were the ninth-best single-game total in school history … had 10 tackles against Emporia State and Midwestern State … named the Ichabod defensive skill player of the game four times and the Big Hit Award once … named the Ichabods’ John McGivern Outstanding Linebacker of the Year … named to the MIAA’s Academic Honor Roll.
In 2009: Started 10 games playing in all 11 recording 55 total tackles with 37 solo stops … had a career-high 10 tackles with six unassisted stops against Emporia state in the season finale on Nov. 7 … recorded fumble recoveries against New Mexico Highlands and Fort Hays State … named the Ichabods’ defensive player of the wee after the New Mexico Highlands game and received the Big Hit Award after the Northwest Missouri game … named to the MIAA’s Academic Honor Roll.
In 2008: Played in one game recording a tackle and a pass break up against Colorado Mines … received a medical redshirt … named to the MIAA’s Academic Honor Roll.
In 2007: Played in 11 games recording five total tackles with four assisted tackles as a freshman … recorded two kickoff returns for four yards … received the Ichabods’ defensive Big Hit award during the Missouri Southern game and special teams player of the week following the Southwest Baptist game.
Background: A first team all-state class 3A pick at wide receiver as well as Topeka Capital-Journal top 11 all-state, all-class pick … a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter on offense and defense at safety … a two-year all-league pick on both offense and defense … was a four-year letterwinner in basketball and three-year starter earning unanimous first team all-league honors … an honorable mention all-state pick … a three-year letterwinner in track and three-time state qualifier … holds the league record in the 110m high hurdles … named to the 2007 Kansas Shrine Bowl.
