Biography
Fall 2013: Played in all six events in the fall tallying a stroke average of 78.6 in 18 rounds … won the UCM Heart of America Invitational in a playoff after recording a 1-over 214 including a final round of 67 … finished in a tie for 37th at the Golfweek Fall Invitational.
As a redshirt freshman in 2012-13: Played in two events recording a 76.8 stroke average … finished in a tie for 24th at the MIAA Golf Championships.
As a freshman in 2010-11: Practiced but did not compete in any tournaments.
Background: A 2010 graduate from Kapaun Mt. Carmel and earned all-city and all-state honors leading team to the 5A state title… he was the 5A state medalist as a freshman … he was the Greater Wichita Athletic League Medalist in 2010 member of the 2010 Kansas/Nebraska Cup team … he was the KGA Junior Team Champion in 2010, the Wichita City Junior Medalist in 2010 and the 2010 Junior Section Team Individual Champion.
Personal: Son of Mark and Mary Ann Lazzo … his older brother Matt Lazzo played golf at Washburn from 2007 to 2010 … majoring in business.
