Background: As a sophomore he was an honorable mention all-district selection … his junior season he was a second team all-state pick by the Omaha World Herald and a first team all-state selection by the Lincoln Journal Star as well as first team all-metro, all-district … his senior season he was named first team all-state, all-district, all-metro as well as the defensive player of the year … was selected to play in the Nebraska Shrine Bowl.
