A 2012 graduate of Edwardsville High School...her senior year the Tigers were sectional, regional and Southwestern Illinois Conference champions...ended her playing time holding every career blocking average record in school history and set a single-season record with 74 solo blocks her senior year...her team finished third in the 4A state tournament her junior year...played her first competitive volleyball her sophomore year and helped her team to a conference championship as a varsity starter...her freshman and sophomore years she played basketball and helped her team to sectional titles...a four-year honor roll student and National Honors Society member.

Undecided on major...parents are Terri and Greg Frierdich...her cousin, Neal Cotts is a Major League Baseball player who was with the Texas Rangers organization at the start of the 2012 season...he pitched in the Majors for the Chicago White Sox from 2003 to 2006 and then with the Chicago Cubs from 2007 to 2009.
