Biography

At Washburn
Has gone 36-19 in singles paly while going 23-5 at No. 6 singles in his career … adding  22-19 mark in doubles play with a 12-6 record at No. 3 doubles.

As a Senior in the fall of 2013
Went 3-3 in singles play and 3-3 in doubles action … reached the semifinals of the Washburn Invitational Tournament in singles play as well as the semis in doubles at the Midwestern State Invitational.

As a Junior in 2012-13
Named the Ichabod tennis team's MVP … finished the season with an 18-5 overall singles record going 13-1 at No. 6 singles … in doubles play was 16-10 with a 11-5 record in doubles … was a first team all-MIAA pick at No. 3 doubles and earned first team all-MIAA honors in singles at No. 6 … reached the semis of the "B" flight of the Washburn and Bethany Invitationals.

As a Sophomore in 2011-12
Earned second team all-MIAA honors after going 10-4 at No. 6 singles finishing the year with a 12-8 overall singles mark … finished doubles play at 2-3 overall … went 1-4 in tournament singles play and 1-2 in tournament doubles matches in the fall … advanced to the quarterfinal of the Bethany Invitational in the “B” singles flight.

As a Freshman in 2010-11
Finished 3-3 in tournament singles and 1-3 in tournament doubles … advanced to the semifinal of the Washburn Invitational in the “B” singles draw.

Background
Joost finished with a 109-17 prep record while at Shawnee Heights High School … in his senior year he was the city and regional champion … he was all-league, all-city, and all-state three times.

Personal
Son of Mike and Eileen Joost … majoring in Kinesiology … his brother Branden played tennis at Washburn from 2008-2010.
