At Washburn: Has made 19 starts at quarterback appearing in 24 games passing for 40 touchdowns and completing 290 of 535 passes for 4,165 yards averaging 173.5 yards per game … his career passing yards total is sixth on the all-time chart at Washburn and his touchdown total is fourth all-time … has recorded 4,129 career total offensive yards which is eighth all-time at Washburn.

In 2013: Started nine games passing for 2,261 yards and 23 touchdowns completing 146 of 260 passes averaging 251.1 yards per game … his touchdown total was seventh and his passing total was ninth on the single-season Ichabod chart … led the team with 2,240 total offensive yards averaging 248.9 yards per game … completed a career-high 25 passes against Lindenwood and twice threw for five touchdowns in a single game during the season against Fort Hays State and Lindenwood … also completed a career-long 80-yard pass against Central Oklahoma … ranked 25th in the nation in passing efficiency … was a two-time winner of the Ichabod offensive skill player of the week award … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2012: Started the first 10 games of the season passing for 1,737 yards with 16 touchdowns averaging 173.7 yards per game through the air completing 133 of 255 passes … scored the go-ahead touchdown on the ground with 23 seconds left to put the Ichabods up 19-16 over Lindenwood on Oct. 20 … passed for a career-high 368 yards at Central Oklahoma on Sept. 22 going 23 of 48 … had four touchdown passes against Fort Hays State on Sept. 8 … also averaged 40.7 yards per punt in six attempts … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2011: Played in five games as a true freshman completing 11 of 20 passes for 167 yards and one touchdown … completed six passes against Lincoln and was 4 for 6 for 79 yards and a score against Central Oklahoma … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Named all-state 3A top 11 offensive as well as all-league at quarterback and defensive back … passed for 2,649 yards and 31 touchdowns and rushed for 393 yards and five more scores … also had 26 tackles as a defensive back … averaged 34.9 yards per punt … as a junior he was named all-league and all-state honorable mention at quarterback after passing for 2,766 yards and 29 touchdowns completing 66 percent of his passes … also a first team all-league pick in basketball and an all-state 3A selection as well … earned all-state honorable mention honors as a placekicker as a sophomore and first team all-league honors in basketball … four-time academic all-league pick.

Personal: Son of Steve and Shelly Buhler … older brother Matt transferred to Washburn after playing two seasons of basketball at Fort Hays State … majoring in business.
