At Washburn:  A four-year member of the Ichabods appearing in 45 games starting the final 34 of his career … recorded 109 tackles adding with four interceptions … a four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and two-time member of the MIAA scholar athlete honor roll.

In 2016: A third team all-MIAA selection after starting all 12 games finishing with 38 tackles with 31 solo stops and three interceptions … also had 21 pass break ups with a fumble recovery … a MIAA Scholar Athlete and member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2015: Started 11 games at cornerback earning second team all-MIAA honors after recording 34 tackles with 23 solo stops adding an interception with a team 13 pass break ups and 14 passes defended which were both team-highs … named the Ichabod special teams player and defensive back of the year … had a season-high seven tackles against Central Missouri … also had 16 kickoff returns for 363 yards averaging 22.7 per attempt … a five-time winner of the Ichabod defensive skill player of the week … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll … an MIAA Academic Scholar selection.

In 2014: Started 11 games at cornerback recording 23 solo stops and four pass break ups … also had 17 kickoff returns for 365 yards averaging 21.5 yards per return … career-high nine tackles against Lindenwood … named special teams player of the week after the Central Oklahoma game … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2013: Appeared in all 11 games recording nine tackles with six solo stops … had a career-high three tackles against Northeastern State and one punt return for 13 yards against the RiverHawks … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2012: Sat out the season as a redshirt … named the Ichabod defensive work team player of the week prior to the Fort Hays State game … named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Recorded 10 tackles and four assisted stops at defensive back as a senior adding three catches for 45 yards … averaged 57 yards per kickoff return with 262 yards on five returns scoring two touchdowns … as a junior he had five catches for 58 yards adding 15 solo tackles and seven assisted stops. 

Personal: Son of Ronald and Janice Franklin … graduated in December 2016 with degree in legal studies and a minor in criminal justice.
