As a sophomore at Fort Scott, he was a first team all-Jayhawk selection and a first team all-region pick after averaging 17.0 points and 7.7 assists per game finishing his career as the Greyhounds’ all-time leader in assists … finished 202 of 271 from the free throw line during the season … during his senior season the Greyhounds were the East Division Champions winning the Region VI title … as a freshman he averaged 8.3 points and 5.0 assists per game … played his prep games at Putnam City West High School where he averaged 20 points and 4 assists per game en route to first team all-league and first team all-state honors … as a junior he averaged 17 points per game and was a first team all-league selection and a second team all-state pick after leading his team to the state semifinals.
