In 2018: Was a second team all-MIAA pick at linebacker after leading the Ichabods in tackles and finishing third in the MIAA with 111 tackles adding eight tackles for loss starting all 11 games … recorded a season-high 16 tackles twice against Northwest Missouri and Nebraska-Kearney … had a 63-yard interception return for a touchdown against Fort Hays State adding eight tackles for loss for 28 yards and two sacks for 16 yards … named one of six honorable mention selections for the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year in association with the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as well as The Associated Press (AP) and the Fiesta Bowl Organization.
In 2017: Appeared in three games before suffering a season-ending injury receiving a medical redshirt … had a season-high 14 tackles against Northwest Missouri with six solo stops … overall had 23 tackles with 11 solo tackles with 1.5 tackles or loss … received the Big Hit award after the Lindenwood game … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2016: Led the Ichabods in tackles with 102 stops with 46 solo tackles en route to honorable mention all-MIAA honors … also had six tackles for loss for 10 yards, three fumble recoveries for 29 yards and 1.5 sacks … recovered a fumble and returned it one yard for a touchdown against Fort Hays State … had a career-high 17 tackles against Emporia State including seven solo stops with a fumble return for 29 yards.
In 2015: Played in 11 games recording 49 tackles with 29 solo stops … also had four tackles for loss for 17 yards and 1.5 sacks for 10 yards adding three pass break ups … career-high eight tackles against Missouri Southern … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll
In 2014: Appeared in nine games as a true freshman recording 19 tackles with 13 solo stops … also had an interception return for 63 yards against Northeastern State … season-high five tackles against Northeastern State … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
Background: Earned first team all-city, all-league honors at linebacker and running back … an all-state selection at linebacker picked in the top 33 in the state earning Topeka's top 11 honors in the city … named the league's defensive player of the year and Topeka's defensive player of the year … as a junior he was first team all-city and all-league at linebacker and a second team all-city and all-league pick at running back … earned top 11 city pick in wrestling finishing fourth in state … as a sophomore he was a first team all-city and all-league pick at linebacker earning defensive newcomer of the year honors earning honorable mention all-state … in wrestling he finished sixth in state and fifth in the state powerlifting competition.
