At Washburn: Has started 30 games playing in 34 as an Ichabod … has recorded 178 tackles with 109 solo stops and seven tackles for loss with two interceptions and five five recoveries for 58 yards … a four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2016: Made 12 starts and finished fifth on the team with 61 tackles with 39 solo stops, four tackles for loss for 10 yards, one interception along with three fumble recoveries for 78 yards with a forced fumble and seven pass break ups … returned a fumble 36 yards for a touchdown against Northeastern State in season opener … named Ichabod defensive skill player of the week three times and had the big hit award two times … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2015: Started all 11 games as a sophomore and recorded 72 tackles with 43 solo stops … added an interception and two tackles for loss … also blocked a punt against Lindenwood … had a career-high 15 tackles with seven solo stops against Central Missouri … named the Ichabod defensive skill player of the game after the Central Oklahoma game … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll … received a Capitol Federal Scholar Student Athlete Award at the spring banquet.
In 2014: Made seven starts playing in all 11 games recording 45 tackles with 27 solo stops including a career-high eight tackles at Nebraska-Kearney … returned a blocked punt 26 yards for a touchdown in the season opener against Lindenwood … added two fumble recoveries … named Ichabod defensive skill player of the week after the Central Oklahoma game … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2013: Sat out the season as a redshirt … named to MIAA Academic Honor Roll … a two-time winner of the Ichabod work team defensive player of the week … played for Team USA in the U19 World Football Championships in Kuwait winning the gold medal.
Background: As a sophomore he was a member of the state championship squads in football and baseball … as a junior he was a 3A all-state selection as a safety and earned all-league honors at running back and safety … as a senior he was an all-league pick at running back, safety and as special teams returner … earned all-state honors at safety and was named third team all-state all-class … he rushed for more than 1,000 yards with 12 rushing touchdowns … a four-year member of the academic honor roll and academic all-league teams … a member of the National Honor Society … a Kansas Shrine Bowl selection.
