Background: Returns to the wide receiving corps after sitting out the spring semester after playing 11 games as an Ichabod as a junior after transferring from North Dakota State. 

In 2016: Appeared in 11 games making one start grabbing 12 receptions for 288 yards and three touchdowns … averaged 24.0 yards per catch … had 58 yards receiving on two catches both going for touchdowns against Pittsburg State … had a season-high three catches for 70 yards against Missouri Western on homecoming. 

Background: A transfer from North Dakota State where he played two seasons and redshirted one season … as a sophomore he played in all 16 games including three starts … made 16 catches for 165 yards … had a career-high four receptions and 48 yards in the NCAA quarterfinal victory over Coastal Carolina … caught at least one pass in each playoff game totaling eight receptions for 66 yards … as a redshirt freshman he played all 15 games including one start at South Dakota State catching 12 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown … a two-time member of the MVFC Honor Roll … in high school he was an all-state performer for Bemidji High School … caught 73 passes for 1,300 yards and 19 TDs as a senior in leading the Lumberjacks to the state championship game … added more than 500 rushing yards and five TDs … set school record for most receiving yards in the regular season … three-year starter in basketball, averaging 20 points and 6 rebounds per game during his career.

Personal: Son of Carey and Penny Woods … his father played football at Bemidji State … majoring in sociology.
