At Washburn: Returns to the sprint events after wrapping up the 2017 Ichabod football season where he was among nation leaders in kickoff return average.

In 2016-17 (track/field): Recorded a season-best 6.93 time in the 60m at the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships and owns three of the top 10 times in school history in the event … set the school record in the 200m indoor in a time of 22.69 at the UCM Relays … has recorded eight of the top 10 fastest times in the 100m run with a personal best of 10.51 … also owns school mark in 200m in a time of 21.25 … placed second at the MIAA vs NSIC Showdown in the 200m and placed fifth in 100m dash at the KU Relays … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2016 (football): As a member of the football team he appeared in all 12 games recording 65 tackles with 6.5 tackles for loss for 21 yards with two interceptions … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2015: Appeared in all 11 games as a redshirt freshman recording 17 tackles with seven solo stops … named the Ichabod special teams player of the week after the Missouri Souther, Fort Hays State and Lindenwood games … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. 

In 2014: Sat out the season as a redshirt … named work team defensive player of the week prior to the Fort Hays State game.

Background: Played football his junior and senior seasons … participated in track and was part of the state champion 4x400m relay team and finished second in the 4x100m relay team in the state meet as a junior … as a sophomore was part of the state championship 4x400m relay team.

Personal: Son of Karl and Denise Vaughn … undecided on major.
