Background: As a senior he earned honorable mention all-state honors as well as Topeka Top 11 accolades after recording 38 catches for 403 yards averaging 10.2 yards per catch to pick up first-team all-league honors at tight end … was a two-time all-league selection at tight end and was an all-league and all-state honorable mention pick as a junior at defensive end after recording 64 tackles with 10 for loss … also had 26 tackles with five for loss and three sacks.
