At Washburn: Has appeared in 130 games making 118 starts driving in 115 runs with 27 home runs scoring 74 runs collecting 125 hits scoring 74 runs … has 26 career doubles … her career .631 slugging percentage is fourth all-time at Washburn and her 12 sac flies are the most in school history ... a three-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2022: Named first team all-MIAA as a designated player leading the Ichabods in home runs for the second year in a row while finishing second on the team with 55 RBI … also added eight doubles and scored 42 runs batting .324 for the season … second on the team with 17 multi-RBI games … second on the team with 17 walks … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2021: Named first team all-MIAA as a designated player leading the Ichabods in home runs with 12 while driving in a team-high 47 … finished second on the team with 46 hits and had 11 doubles starting 44 of 45 games this season … her six sac flies broke a single-season school record which had stood since 1999 … recorded 14 multi-RBI games and had 12 mutli-hit games … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. 

In 2020: Batted .348 in 26 games making 18 starts … had 23 hits and a team-high seven doubles while driving in 13 runs … tied for the team lead with seven multi-hit games … had three hits against Minnesota-Duluth and Sioux Falls ... named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Friend was named to the NJCAA D2 First Team All-American squad as well as first team all-region while earning the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Most Valuable Player after batting .473 with 13 home runs and 51 RBI … her 71 hits were third in the nation and eighth in the KJCCC … as a sophomore, in addition to conference MVP honors, she was a first team all-league selection in the outfield … as a freshman she was a first team all-region utility selection earning first team all-conference honors at pitcher and second team all-American honors as a designated player … as a senior at Collinsville High School, she was a first team all-district pick at pitcher and as a junior she was a first team all-district pitcher picking up second team All-American honors leading team to a 5A state title.

Personal: Daughter of Christopher and Carrie Friend … majoring in kinesiology.
