In 2021-22: Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships finishing 17th in the nation in the 5000m in a time of 16:56.08 … won the 5000m at the MIAA Outdoor Championships and finished third in the 1500m in a time of 4:36.82 earning 16 team points … set two school records in the 1500m and the 5000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational in a times of 4:33.70 and 16:35.00 …  … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and the MIAA Academic Excellence listing.

In 2020-21: Competed in two outdoor events winning the 5000m at the MIAA Championships to become the third individual champion in a time of 17:26.15 and then finished second in the 1500m in a time of 4:35.93 … her time in the 1500m was a school record and her 5000m time was the third-best individual time in school history … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Competed in two seasons of track and field and one in cross country at Montevallo University ... earned two indoor track All-Region honors (mile, DMR) and was a two-time All-Conference award winner ... she also set the school record in the 3k with a time of 10:08 ... also played four seasons of soccer and was among the top-three leaders in goals, points, and assists for three seasons while helping the team to its first winning record in 10 years her senior year ... has earned a multitude of academic honors ... a four-time PBC Gold Scholar, two-time PBC All-Academic team selection, received the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award and the GSC Top-10 Award, and was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team ... received the Jan Eagles Most Outstanding Female Athlete Award and was an NCAA Woman of the Year nominee.

Personal: Daughter of Mike and Wendy Gonzales ... has two sisters, Casey and Kolbi ... father, Mike, played football and ran track at Kansas Wesleyan and Casey played soccer at Maryville ... earned her bachelor's in exercise and nutrition science from Montevallo and is working towards her master's in communications and leadership.
