At Washburn: Owns the school record in hammer throw and the sixth-best individual performance in the discus and the seventh-best in the shot put … for indoor competition he has sixth-best shot put mark and the fourth-best weight throw performance.

In 2020-21: Set the school record in the hammer throw at the ESU Relays with a mark of 54.84m (179-11) for a seventh-place finish … had an outdoor best mark in the shot put at 14.81m (48-07.25) finishing eighth at the Woodman Classic … finished third in the hammer throw at the ESU Spring Invite with a throw of 52.06m.

In 2019-20: Set a PR in the weight throw with a seventh-place finish at the Kansas State Open with a mark of 15.69m (51-05.75) … outdoor season canceled due to COVID-19.

In 2018-19: Recorded a PR in the hammer throw at the MIAA Outdoor Championships with a mark of 48.08m (157-09) … finished fifth in the hammer at the West Texas A&M Classic. 

In 2017-18: As a member of the Ichabod track and field team he has the fifth-best performance in the hammer throw, the seventh-best performance in the shot put and the eighth-best performance in the discus in the outdoor season … sat out the season as a redshirt on the Ichabod football team … named Ichabod work team offensive player of the week for practice prior to Northeastern State and Central Missouri games.

Background: As a senior he was a second team selection on the defensive line and first team on the offensive line … as a junior he was selected all-league at center and on the defensive line … a three-time state track and field participant in the discus … started at center on varsity as a freshman.

Personal: Son of Matt and Pam Stranathan … a health services administration major … his mother and father were multi sports athletes at Fort Hays State.
