Background: Began his collegiate career spending two seasons at Kansas City Kansas Community College ... went 6-2 as a freshman throwing 68.1 innings ... as a sophomore for the Blue Devils went 12-2 with a 2.03 ERA in 84.1 innings ... earned NJCAA First Team All-Region honors and was a first team All-KJCCC East Division honoree ... also tabbed as a NJCAA All-American honorable mention ... spent one season at Purdue throwing 22.1 innings with 20 strikeouts across 13 games ... was a four-year member of the Seaman baseball program in high school ... earned first team All-League and All-County honors as a junior as well as honorable mention All-State recognition ... earned first team All-State as a senior and played in the All-State high school game ... helped the Vikings to two state tournament appearances
