At Washburn: Enters senior season as the No. 1 punter.
In 2006: Earned honorable mention all-MIAA honors after averaging 35.2 yards per punt with six over 50 yards and 18 inside the 20 yard line … named MIAA’s Special Teams Player of the Week following the Central Missouri game on Sept. 9 after he averaged 42.1 yards per punt including a career-long 70 yard punt with two other attempts over 50 yards … named the Ichabods’ Special Teams Player of the Year … named to MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
In 2005: Played in two games last season and recorded five punts for 159 yards for a 39.8 yard average … had a season-long 46-yard punt against Missouri Western … a member of the MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
In 2004: Sat out the season as a medical redshirt … a member of the MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
In 2003: Played in eight games taking over punting duties four games into the season and averaged 31.6 yards per punt on 36 attempts … had 1,136 yards punting including a career-high 52 yard attempt against Pittsburg State - a game in which he had 10 punts.
Background: Was a first team all-Sunflower League, all-Sun County and all-state punter at Shawnee Mission West in 2002 … was named Shawnee Mission West’s Co-MVP and was the team’s Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
Personal: Born Nov. 16, 1984 … son of Brad and Pat Boswell … majoring in business.
