Associate
Description
Member of the External Relations team on a day-to-day basis with on-going yearly duties and tasks.
Duties
- Handle different assignments and tasks as assigned.
- Women's Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, and Softball game day contact.
- Assist with game day operations for Football, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball.
- Hold up to 30 office hours per week.
- Must be able to work in Microsoft products and Adobe Creative Suite.
Creative / Video Associate
Description
Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations in enhancing video efforts for Washburn Athletics.
Duties
- Capture video of home athletic games
- Capture post-game and weekly interviews at the discretion of the Athletic Communications Department
- Create game highlights and signature plays
- Edit video for digital media use
- Work with the Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations on digital media strategy
- Must be fluent in Adobe Suite products
Broadcast Associate
Description
Provide play by play or color analysis for the Washburn Digital Network.
Duties
- Coordinate play by play or color analysis for Washburn baseball, softball, women's soccer, and/or softball events
- Work with External Relations department to coordinate scripts, reads, and formatting
- Operate audio equipment prior to and during events
- Gain working knowledge of BlueFrame Production Truck software
- Conduct interviews pre and post event
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Athletic Communications Intern
Description
Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications and Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.
Duties
- Will work with local, regional, and national media in a professional matter at Washburn sporting events
- Help with setup and take down of equipment at games
- In-game assistance as needed with stats and interviews
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Fan Experience
Intern
Description
Assist the External Relations team during events.
Duties
- Broadcast team member - including camera operators and BlueFrame software operator
- Operate video board, music, and ticketing systems
- Execute and develop in-game promotions
- Organize promotional material
- Work with game day staff on promotional events
- Must be able to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
