Bailey Jenkins

A native of Rogersville, Mo., Bailey Jenkins is in his first season as a student assistant coach for the Washburn baseball team. Jenkins was a two-year member with the Ichabods. In his junior season, he started 40 of the 44 game he appeared in and had 17 runs on 20 hits with seven RBI with a .159 average. Defensively, he contributed with 40 putouts and 109 assists while turning 19 double plays from the shortstop position. 

As a senior, he appeared in 23 games, starting five games at second base as well as 10 appearances as a relief pitcher. Offensively, he contributed with five RBI in 14 at-bats. On the mound, he posted a 1-1 record with 12 strikeouts, tossing 11.0 innings.

Prior to his time at Washburn, Jenkins played two seasons at Crowder College (Neosho, Mo.), where he helped the team to a 94-36 record and an appearance In the NJCAA JUCO World Series.

Jenkins will graduate with a bachelor's degree from Washburn in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise physiology.
