Former Ichabod Caden Bressler moves from the starting rotation to the coaching staff for the 2026 season in his first as a member of the Washburn staff. 

Bressler finished his three-year career with the Ichabods in 2025 after joining the team from Barton County CC. He finished his career appearing in 62 games as a hitter and 32 on the mound. At the plate Bressler hit .276 with 45 hits and 22 RBI while on the mound he tossed 113.2 total innings with a 5.30 ERA. He tallied a 6-6 record with three saves and 60 strikeouts. He earned MIAA Gold Glove and ABCA/Rawlings Central Region All-Defensive Team honors in 2025. 

Bressler, a Sterling, Kan. native, graduated with his bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Washburn in 2025.
