Jon Pomatto

Jon Pomatto joined the Washburn Ichabod baseball coaching staff in August 2017 after spending the previous season as a volunteer assistant with Pittsburg State University.

A native of Osawatomie, Kan., Pomatto is a 2014 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University where he played in 82 games over the course of two seasons with Bearcats and was a career .290 hitter. Pomatto hauled in All-MIAA honorable mention honors following his senior campaign as the outfielder batted .329 with 47 runs scored, 24 RBI and a .972 fielding percentage.

Prior to attending NWMSU, Pomatto spent two seasons at Neosho County CC. In his second season with the Tigers, Pomatto appeared in 55 games while earning 53 starts. He batted .347 that season with five triples, 17 stolen bases and was among nation's leaders with 12 assists. Pomatto attended Paola HS.

Pomatto resides in Topeka.
