Riley Price will begin his first season at Washburn in 2015 as an assistant coach after playing for the Ichabods in 2013 and 2014.
Price was head coach of the Windsor Beavers, a Colorado summer league team, in 2014. He led the team to the Centennial State League championship. He will coach the Fort Collins Foxes, also in the Centennial State League, in 2015.
Price hit .370 as a junior infielder and designated hitter in 2013 at Washburn and hit .277 last year as the team’s primary designated hitter.
Price played one season at Southern Arkansas in 2012 and played as a freshman at Allen Community College in 2011. He’s a 2009 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School.
He is finishing his physical education degree at Washburn and wants to teach and continue coaching in his career.
