High School: A four-year member of the Ponderosa High School baseball team ... was a first team all-state selection at first base his senior year and helped the Mustangs to a state championship title ... during the 2020 summer/fall league, he hit .429 with eight home runs and drove in 47 runs and also pitched 27 innings and finished with a 2.74 ERA and 29 strikeouts ... also competed in football his freshman year.

Personal: Son of John and Megan Lopez ... has one sister, Isabel ... his father played baseball at UMBC ... majoring in marketing.
