Background: An all-district pick at quarterback as a senior and passed for 2,828 yards and 25 touchdown passes in 10 games … as a junior he was an All-District and All-State selection at quarterback after passing for 3,557 yards and 40 touchdowns completing 236 of 393 passing attempts including a school-record 390 yard game … passed for 8,754 career yards which was fourth in Missouri state history and the most in 6A history … his 88 career touchdowns is fifth all-time in Missouri history … earned All-District honors and All-State honors as a pitcher and shortstop as team won state baseball title … an All-District selection at quarterback as a sophomore.
