Biography

As a Junior in 2006
• Played in 32 games with 27 starts. He started on the mound for the Ichabods nine times with a 2-4 record and 5.43 ERA.
• He also was the designated hitter in 20 games and batted .338, fourth best on the team. He had 23 RBI with four home runs, six doubles and a triple.
• He threw a one-hit, complete game shutout against Truman on 03/26/06 when he took a no-hitter into the seventh inning. He struck out seven and walked none.
• He also had a complete game against No. 24 Fort Hays State on 04/09/06 and against No. 7 Central Missouri State on 05/03/06.
• Against Upper Iowa on 03/11/06 he batted 3-for-4 with a career-high tying five RBI off a home run and a double.
• He had a six-game hitting streak between 03/03/06 against Mary and 03/14/06 against Minnesota Crookston. He hit .600 (12-for-20) with 10 RBI during the streak.
• Finished second on the team with 49 strikeouts and had a season high of eight against Southwest Baptist on 04/14/06.

As a Sophomore in 2005

• Earned all-MIAA honorable mention honors.
• Played in 47 games with 43 starts as a designated hitter and pitcher.
• Made 10 starts on the mound and had a 5-4 record with six complete games.
• He had his first career no-hitter on 03/13/05 against Minnesota Crookston when he struck out a career-high 14 batters and walked one. It was also his first career shutout and complete game.
• His .204 opponent batting average was the lowest in the MIAA.
• Batted .364 with 33 RBI and four home runs.
• Had 55 hits and scored 28 runs.
• He had an eight-game hitting streak from 04/08/05 through 04/16/05 and batted .444 with 11 RBI.
• He ended the year with a six-game hitting streak.

As a Freshman in 2004

• Was named to the honorable mention all-MIAA team as a designated hitter after batting .372 with four homers and 22 RBI.
• Went 4-for-5 with three runs and three runs driven in against Minnesota-Crookston 03/15/04.
• Had a pinch-hit homer against Northwest Missouri 04/06/04 and hit home runs in two of his last three games, including a three-run homer against Pittsburg State 05/01/04.

Rochester (Minn.) Honkers in Summer 2006
• Played for the Rochester Honkers out of the Northwoods League and helped his team to a league championship.
• He appeared in 19 games with seven starts and had a 2-3 record and 3.49 ERA. In 56 2/3 innings he struck out 35 batters with 26 walks and gave up just one home run. He also had three saves.

St. Mary’s High School
• A 2003 graduate of St. Marys High School where he earned all-league honors three times and all-state honors twice.
• Had 101 strikeouts and a 1.35 ERA on the mound while batting .596 with five homers as a pitcher and shortstop.
• Also earned all-league and all-state honors in football and all-league honors in basketball.
• Was the Gatorade Offensive Player of the Year as a running back, rushing for 1027 yards and 12 touchdowns his senior season.
