Background: Was a three-year member of the McHenry Community High School baseball program ... was named team MVP as a junior and earned All-Conference honors ... helped the Warriors to a 30-10 record and a 4th place finish at state as a senior ... repeated as an All-Conference member ... was also a member of National Honors Society ... spent two seasons at Rock Valley College as a member of the Golden Eagles
