Biography

In 2016: All-MIAA Third Team Shortstop … MIAA Academic Honor Roll member …  hit .319 (76-for-238) and started all 54 games at shortstop … led the team in hits, doubles (17), triples (seven) and RBI (53) while slugging .550 with a .374 on-base percentage … went 10-for-16 in stolen base attempts … in the field, had 112 putouts, a team-high 145 assists and a .948 fielding percentage … led the team with 23 multi-hit games, including four-hit performances against Missouri Southern (3/25) and at Emporia State (4/13) … had two-home run games at Fort Hays State (3/30) and against Central Oklahoma (4/30) … tied for team lead with 14 multi-RBI games and had five RBI at ESU (4/13) when he had two doubles … during the season climbed into the No. 2 spot for career triples (12) and No. 9 spot for career doubles (34) at Washburn.
 
In 2015: Named All-MIAA honorable mention at shortstop and to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll … led the team in triples (five) and was tied for the team-lead in doubles (14) … second on the team with a .355 batting average while starting 52 games (all appearances) … finished the season with a team-leading 70 hits in 197 at-bats, racking up four home runs and 31 RBI … 8-of-9 in stolen base attempts while slugging .538 with a .407 on base percentage … drew 13 walks and was hit by five pitches … had a .928 fielding percentage … led the team with 24 multi-hit games, including seven three-hit performances … had six multi-RBI performances, including a four-RBI game against Rockhurst on Feb. 25, where he had a double, a triple and home run to just miss hitting for the cycle … had two doubles against Nebraska-Kearney on April 23 … tied for second in the MIAA in triples.
 
In 2014: Played in 17 games with 10 starts at shortstop ... batted .263 with 10 hits in 38 at-bats ... went 3 for 4 with an RBI April 19 against Lincoln ... went 2 for 4 in the opening game of the MIAA tournament May 1 at Emporia State ... started 7 of the final 8 games of the season.

In 2013: Did not play … redshirted.

Background: A 2012 graduate of Evergreen High School (Evergreen, Colo.) where he lettered in baseball as a shortstop his senior year for the Cougars ... batted .521 with an .808 slugging percentage as he was selected to the 4A All-State team and All-Conference team ... had 11 doubles and two home runs with 23 RBI in 20 games ... played golf and hockey as a sophomore and junior ... his hockey team won the postseason tournament his junior year ... he was student body president as a senior.

Personal: Son of John and Shelley Krane ... majoring in management ... born in Leawood, Kan. … his father played baseball at Washburn from 1983-86 and was the sports information director in 1989 … his mother played tennis at Washburn.
