Background: Named first team all-state by the Wichita Eagle and Sports In Kansas and was a KSSHSSA 6A honorable mention all-state selection while picking up Shawnee County Top 22 First Team and was named the Centennial League's Offensive Player of the Year and first-team quarterback after completing 116 of 188 passing attempts for 1,696 yards with 28 touchdowns while also rushing for 350 yards and seven touchdowns on 59 carries … as a junior he was named to the Top Sports News First-team Top 22 and was a CJ online second-team all-league pick earning honorable mention all-state accolades from Sports In Kansas, the KSSHSSA and the Wichita Eagle … voted team offensive player of the year as a sophomore earning first-team all-league honors as well as TopSports.News Top 22 all-county and Offensive Newcomer of the Year, an all-state honorable mention selection and a CJonline second-team all-county pick.
