Biography
At Washburn: Has appeared in 45 games making 24 starts collecting 168 tackles with 98 solo stops adding 7.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks … earned Third Team All-MIAA ... a six-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and named to teh MIAA Scholar Athlete list.
In 2021: Started all 12 games recording team-leading 71 tackles with 53 solo stops and an interception ... made 10 tackles and grabbed an interception in the win over Missouri Western ... also had a single game-high 12 tackles in the playoffs against Harding ... three-time Ichabod big hit player of the week and named special teams and defensive skill player of the week once each ... earned All-MIAA third team honors as a linebacker ... named to MIAA Scholar Athlete list and placed on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2020: Season canceled because of COVID-19 ... named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2019: Was fifth on the team with 45 tackles adding a fumble recovery and a forced fumble … started all 11 games … tied a career high with six tackles against Central Missouri … a two-time big hit award winner … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2018: Made 34 tackles with 19 solo stops making three tackles for loss and a sack adding a forced fumble playing in 11 games making one start … a two-time Ichabod special teams player of the week … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2017: Appeared in 11 games recording 18 tackles with seven solo stops … had a interception return 33 yards against Pittsburg State … had four tackles in a game three times … received the Ichabod Big Hit Award against Central Oklahoma … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
In 2016: Sat out the season as a redshirt … named Ichabod work team defensive player of the week for practice prior to the Pittsburg State game … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
Background: Named first team all-state top 11 by the Topeka Capital Journal and the Kansas Football Coaches Association as well as first team all-city, all-league, all-state and was named the Topeka Defensive Player of the Year after recording 133 tackles with 65 solo stops as a senior adding four sacks … as a junior he was an all-city and all-state honorable mention selection … as a sophomore he recorded 135 tackles with 60 solo stops adding six tackles for loss and two interceptions … selected for Kansas Shrine Bowl where he had an interception and a fumble return for a touchdown … a four-year member of the honor roll.
Personal: Son of Mike and Shannon Peavler … brother Brent is on Ichabod football team … sister Whitney played soccer at MidAmerica Nazarene, his mother played softball at Johnson County and cousin Marcus played baseball at Washburn … a nursing major.
