Alex Thomas is in his first full season as an Ichabod graduate assistant joining the coaching staff in the spring of 2023 after finishing his playing career at Washburn.

Thomas was a six-year member of the Ichabods playing in 20 games making eight tackles and was a six-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. As a senior he played in nine games making one tackle and was named Ichabod special teams player of the week after the Northeastern State game. His junior season, he appeared in three games for the Ichabods recording two tackles with one solo tackles.

The Aurora, Colorado native was a second team all-state pick at Rangeview High School as well as first team all-league and first team all-city as a senior who was named team captain. As a junior he was a first team all-league pick after earning honorable mention all-league as a sophomore.

He is the son of Terry and Shelly Thomas and he is majoring in kinesiology.
