Cullen Homolka is in his second season as a graduate assistant at Washburn after a three-year career at running back at Kansas. He is going to coach the wide receivers this year after coaching the running backs last year at Washburn.
He was a three-time member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. He played on special teams and on offense and was part of the 2005 Fort Worth Bowl Champion Jayhawks and he also played in the 2003 Tangerine Bowl.
Before enrolling at Kansas, he was an honorable mention All-American and named first team all-conference fullback at Garden City Community College.
He is a Claflin, Kan., native and the son of James and Katherin Homolka and graduated from Kansas with a degree in history in 2006. He is working on his graduate degree from Washburn in administration.
