Garret Barnett-Kruger begins his first season as a graduate assistant on the Ichabod football team after wrapping up his career following the 2021 season.

As an Ichabod from 2016-2021, he appeared in 44 games making one start collecting 130 tackles with 65 solo stops with a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick adding six tackles for loss. As a senior he played in 10 games, recording 41 total tackles including 31 solo and two tackles for loss. He had a game-high nine tackles with seven being solo in a win over No. 2 Northwest Missouri State.
