Marquise Manning returns for his first season on the Ichabod coaching staff and will help with the defensive line. Manning was a member of the Ichabods from 2016 to 2021 appearing in 31 games recording 55 tackles and three interceptions earning first team all-MIAA honors as a senior as well as first team all-region honors.
In his final season as an Ichabod, Manning started all 12 games recording 27 tackles and a team-leading three interceptions with 12 pass breakups. He had a career-high 10 tackles, a pass breakup and an interception against Missouri Western and he blocked a field goal in the win over Fort Hays State.
After his playing career at Washburn was over, he continued to play overseas with the Milano Seamen of the European Football League.
