Washburn University Athletics

Rob Messinger is in his third season as a graduate assistant coach at Washburn after spending the 2006 and 2007 seasons as the wide receivers and tight end coach at Ottawa University.
The Topeka native was a walk-on defensive back at Kansas during the 2002 season after finishing his prep career at Hayden High School. Messinger graduated from Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
At Washburn, Messinger graduated with his master’s degree in educational leadership in May.
