At Washburn: A five-year member of the Ichabods appearing in 38 games with 28 starts … has 49 receptions for 445 yards and six touchdowns … a five-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. 

In 2024: Appeared in nine games making seven starts … made 13 receptions for 100 yards and one touchdown … had four catches for 28 yards and a touchdown against Central Oklahoma … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. 

In 2023: Had 15 catches for 163 yards scoring three touchdowns playing in all 11 games making nine starts … had a season-high 52 yards receiving on two catches at Emporia State … a six-team offensive power player of the week and an eight-time Ichabod big hit award winner … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2022: Earned all-MIAA third team honors … appeared in nine games making seven starts and had eight receptions for 69 yards … had a season-high three catches at Northwest Missouri for 36 yards … a three-time Ichabod power position player of the week winner and a six-time recipient of the big hit award … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2021: Played in nine games with six starts accumulating two carried for one yard and a touchdown along with 13 receptions for 113 yards and two touchdowns ... four-time Ichabod big hit player of the week and three-time offensive power player of the week … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2020: Season canceled because of COVID-19 … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: A first team all-state and all-league selection by the Wichita Eagle, Topeka Capital Journal, Kansas Football Coaches Association and Sports in Kansas at linebacker as a senior collecting over 100 tackles … also named first team all-league at tight end and was a nominee for the Bobby Bell Award … named to Midco all-star team and an AM810 small class linebacker … a first team all-league wrestling pick as well as all-area wrestler of the year and to the Elite Team best of Kansas preps selection … a first team all-area selection in wrestling … his sophomore year he finished fourth at the state wrestling championships and was a first team all-league selection at linebacker and qualified for the state meet as a freshman … a National Honor Society member and a Kansas Honors Scholar.

Personal: Son of Curt and Jennifer Searcy … a brother Curt … sister Corinn participated in track and field at Washburn … majoring in kinesiology.
