At Washburn: Played in 32 games making 42 tackles as an Ichabod adding sseven sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss ... a five-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2023: Played in seven games recording nine tackles making four starts… had an interception against Northwest Missouri returning it 20 yards … had a season-high three tackles against Nebraska-Kearney  … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. 

In 2022: Appeared in seven games recording seven tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss … received big hit award against Northeastern State … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2021: Played in 10 games for the Ichabods recording 16 tackles with 13 solo stops and 4.5 sacks ... named Ichabods defensive power player of the week before the Northeastern State game … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2020: Season canceled because of COVID-19 ... named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2019: Appeared in eight games as a true freshman recording 10 tackles with six solo stops … had two sacks for 18 yards against Missouri Southern earning Ichabod defensive line player of the week honors … named Ichabod work team defensive player of the week for practice leading up to the Lincoln game … a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll 

Background: A Wichita Eagle and Kansas Football Coaches Association Top 11 and Topeka Capital Journal All-Class selection as well as the AVCTL Defensive Player of the Year earning first team all-state, all-metro and all-league honors as a senior after recording 83 tackles with 12 sacks and 24 tackles for loss … as a junior he was a second team all-league pick … as a sophomore he was selected as an all-district, all-area and all-region tight end … as a freshman he was an all-district pick at tight end and a second team all-area tight end selection.

Personal: Son of Chris and Brandi Keener … brothers Darion and Nathan … a sister Jalen … brother Darion played football at Emporia State … majoring in accounting.
